This necklace definitely brings the beach to your daily outfit! The La Isla necklace comes with a delicate recycled 925 Sterling Silver snake chain, a white handpicked cowrie shell from the island Kauai in Hawaii and a rose coloured fresh water pearl charm. The perfect summery jewelry piece!
Length & measurements
The La Isla necklace measures 40 cm and comes with an extension chain (5 cm).
The size of the shells and pearls differ a bit from necklace to necklace, as they are natural materials - but that is what makes them so unique :)
Shell size: 12 - 16 mm
Pearl size: 7 - 10 mm
Materials
Shells
The Cowrie shells used are naturally grown and handpicked on the beaches of Kauai, a hawaiian island. I get them from a women owned hawaiian etsy shop - she picks the shells carefully by hand. There's mostly still some sand in the shells, I try my best to clean them - but sometimes it may happen, that you will still find a little grain of sand in it :)
Pearls
The rose coloured freshwater pearls are a gift from my great uncle who used to make jewelry too. Because he stopped doing jewelry with ongoing age, he gave lots of pearls and gemstones to me for creating beautiful new pieces like this one.
Care
Please handle your new jewellery with care. The materials can deform or, in the worst case, tear due to strong pulling or hanging. Please also mind to:
- put it off when showering & washing hair
- put it off when doing sports, swimming or sleeping
- don't let it get in contact with chemicals like perfume, shampoo and also salt water.
